Introducing LipiFlow® Dry Eye Treatment

LipiFlow® Thermal Pulsation works to treat Evaporative Dry Eye by focusing on the root of the problem.  Warmth and pressure is applied to the inner eyelid and meibomiam glands, while pulsations unclog the meibomiam glands, releasing the oily lipids needed for the oily layer of the tear film.  Resuming normal lipid flow through LipiFlow is virtually pain free and can be performed in outpatient examinations or even the same day as examination. The LipiFlow Thermal Pulsation System was clinically studied to verify dry eye improvement.

Is LipiFlow Effective?

In a clinical trial, 79% patients reported improvement of their overall dry eye symptoms within four weeks, ranging from 10% to 100% improvement. Opening and clearing blocked meibomiam glands can allow them to resume natural production of lipids (oils) needed for a healthy tear film.

Many dry eye treatments attempt to add more liquid to your tears, but without the complex natural oil in healthy tears, they continue to evaporate faster than produced.

LipiFlow Treatment

The LipiFlow Thermal Pulsation System uses patented, precisely controlled heat applied to the inner eyelid with adaptive pressure, encouraging the body to resume natural production of lipids (oils) needed for healthy tear film.

Imagine returning to doing the things you enjoy, without worrying about your eyes. LipiFlow could be the lasting solution to your dry eye discomfort. Eye Care Northwest is offering this breakthrough treatment at their Sparta, NJ location in Sussex County, NJ.
