Dr. Grayson is the Medical Director and Chief Cataract, LASIK & Glaucoma Surgeon at Eye Care Northwest, specializing in refined eye care. A board-certified ophthalmologist, he is one of the region’s most experienced glaucoma and cataract specialists. The Castle Connolly Guide has consistently named Dr. Grayson as a top eye surgeon in the New York Metro Area. Dr. Grayson developed the PhacoTilt technique for phacoemulsification cataract surgery and invented the five instruments used in cataract surgery around the world.
Dr. Grayson graduated magna cum laude from Brown University, where he received a ScB in Biology and an AB in Computer Science. He received his medical degree from Brown University Medical School and completed his internship in Internal Medicine at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. He completed his ophthalmology residency and fellowship at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary where he completed extensive training in phacoemulsification sutureless cataract surgery and received an award for outstanding research in glaucoma.
He lectures extensively on PhacoTilt to ophthalmologists and optometrists, contributes to many ophthalmology journals and serves as a member on several editorial boards.

Dr. Grayson is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American College of Surgeons. In addition to being an active member of the American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery (ASCRS), he is a member of the American Glaucoma Society (AGS) and The New York Glaucoma Society. He is an attending surgeon at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital and Lenox Hill Hospital.
