Meet Dr. Meade

Abigail Meade, OD is an optometric physician that provides comprehensive eye care, non-surgical emergency eye care, and pre- and post-operative care. This care includes diagnostic testing and therapeutic interventions when indicated. Dr. Meade is a 1998 graduate of Juniata College earning a Bachelor of Science degree with a dual major in Biology and Mathematics. In 2008, she graduated with a Doctor of Optometry (OD) from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry which is now known as Salus University. While at PCO, Dr. Meade received training in Low Vision examinations and devices.

Prior to attending optometry school, Dr. Meade worked as a basic science laboratory manager at the Cleveland Clinic and contributed to several peer reviewed academic papers. Dr. Meade joined Eye Care Northwest after working with Dr. Liegner at various locations of the Optical and Hearing Center for six years. While there, she practiced full-scope primary care optometry including the fitting of contact lenses, removal of corneal foreign bodies, glaucoma treatment, comprehensive eye exams, and the monitoring of chronic retinal conditions such as Age Related Macular Degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and hypertensive retinopathy.

She is a licensed optometrist in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Dr. Meade lives in Dingmans Ferry, Pennsylvania with her husband of 12 years and a menagerie of critters. She enjoys hiking and geocaching in her spare time.
